Early Years Programs at Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre

We are extremely happy to announce, our Early Years Programs PJ's & Storytime, Little Bears and Saturday Family Fun & Storytime at Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre will be up and running starting Monday, January 10th. We ask that all participants preregister using Eventbrite. Classes will be run at a maximum of 15 participants (adults and children). We will post the Eventbrite links on our social media throughout the week. Covid Safety protocols in place. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Emémel Spá:th Little Bears

Starting November 16th, 2021, join us from 1:00 to 3:00 pm every Tuesday and Thursday at our new Indigenous-focused pre-school drop-in program at the Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre. Open to ALL families with children 0 to 5 years of age. Together we will drum, sing, read Indigenous stories and learn from the land and each other.

StrongStart School Year 2021

We are very excited to announce the beginning of the StrongStart School Year 2021. All locations will be open on September 27th, 2021. No daily registration will be required. Masks for adults and daily health checks for all visitors will be mandatory.

Sweeney StrongStart opens September 13th, 2021

We are pleased to announce that Sweeney Centre Strong Start is open for drop-in visits starting September 13th, Monday to Friday from 8:45 am until 11:45 am with limited capacity. No daily registration will be required. Masks for adults and daily health checks for all visitors will be mandatory.
